£17.5k of goods seized at Nutts Corner

TWO men were arrested on Sunday, October 28, by officers from Crumlin’s Neighbourhood Policing Team while on patrol at Nutts Corner. Fireworks and a quantity of counterfeit DVDs and CDs were seized.

One man aged 41 was arrested on suspicion of possession of fireworks without a licence, selling fireworks without a licence and trademark offences.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

One man aged 20 was arrested and later charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of assault on police, disorderly behaviour, resisting arrest and two counts of criminal damage.

He is due to appear at Antrim Magistrates Court on Tuesaday, November 20.

It is understood that the total amount of both seizures is thought to be worth approximately £17,500.
