Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault in the Main Street, Glenavy yesterday morning (Monday, May 5).

It was reported at 7.50am on Monday morning, that a number of males were fighting in the street.

Officers attended the scene and arrested three men aged 18, 33 and 40 on suspicion of a number of offences and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

Sergeant Jonny Mackenzie said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or was travelling in the area and may have dashcam footage to contact police in Lisburn on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 244 of 10/05/21, or to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

“We are aware that there may be mobile phone footage of the incident circulating on social media and we would appeal for anyone who may have this footage to provide it to us.
