A 44-year-old man was arrested in Dunmurry on Sunday by police investigating ‘dissident republican terrorism.’
It is the second arrest linked to dissident republican terrorism by police, after the arrest of a 57-year-old woman following a ‘substantial’ weapons find in Twinbrook.
The man was detained in a search in a property in the Glenwood Walk area on Sunday evening.
A police spokesman said that a number of items have been removed for further forensic examination.
Police investigating dissident republican terrorism uncovered a major weapons haul including bomb parts and ammunition for an AK47 assault rifle. It included component parts for IEDs, detonators, explosives and ammunition for an AK47.
