Local man admits driving whilst disqualified

A Lisburn man has admitted driving, despite being banned from the roads.

David Bell, from Mourneview Crescent, appeared in Lisburn Magistrates Court this week charged with driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

The court heard that on January 12, 2015, the defendant was found to be driving a BMW 520 on the Ballymacash Road in Lisburn.

Investigations discovered Bell was a disqualified driver and had no valid insurance for the vehicle in question.

District Judge Des Perry adjourned the case for two weeks for pre-sentence reports.

The defendant is to reappear before Lisburn Magistrates Court on March 30 for sentencing.
