Fears are growing for the safety of missing man Mervyn Craig, believed to be from the Lisburn area.

Mr Craig is insulin-dependent and was last seen in the Wigan area on Monday.

Mr Craig (46) recently moved to Wigan from Northern Ireland.

He was last seen at a car garage near Wigan town centre at around 8pm, on Monday.

Police said Mr Craig’s family are concerned as he isn’t administering his insulin correctly.

Officers have now issued an appeal for the public’s help to find him.

Mr Craig was last seen at the Arnold Clark Motorstore on Wallgate, Wigan.

He is described as being white, around six feet tall, bald, with a strong Irish accent.

A police spokesman said: “He was last seen wearing a light grey ‘Tapout’ T-shirt with dark jeans.”

Anyone with information about Mervyn’s whereabouts can call police on 101.

Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
