Lisburn and Castlereagh City District PSNI officers seized cash, suspected drugs and a prohibited weapon during a proactive house search in Carryduff.
The search carried out by the District Support Team was carried out at a premises that had fortified doorways.
Inspector Mark Robinson said: “Sterling and Euros estimated to be around £13,000 was seized as was a quantity of suspected drugs but what was most alarming was a fishing spear that if used against anyone would most certainly kill them or leave them with life-changing injuries. This was seized due to a fear for public safety.
“This was a proactive search who entered a house and discovered all of these items despite having to negotiate fortified and strengthened doorways that we believe were constructed to stop police from gaining entry.
“We also seized items used for manipulating a domestic electricity supply.”
