Cash and jewellery stolen in Glenavy

Police are investigating a burglary on the Lurgan Road area in Glenavy that occurred, on Friday.

A property was entered and items of jewellery and a quantity of cash were taken.

The police in Lisburn are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, that day.

Police would especially like to hear from anyone who may have spotted an unfamiliar vehicle to ring them and quote the reference number 780 24/4/2016.

Police are reminding householders to ensure their property is safe at all times. They advise homeowners to close and lock all doors when leaving their property, keep valuables out of sight and fix mortice locks to front and other external doors.
