The award winning Belfast Continental Market, has been a festive fixture in the grounds of the Belfast City Hall for the past seven years. Struck by the distance people travel each year to experience the global offerings, Market Place (the organisers of the Belfast Continental Market) decided to take the market on the road.

Chairman of Lisburn City Centre Management, Alderman Allan Ewart welcomed the return of the Continental Market to Lisburn and the boost it would bring to local retail.

He said: “The Belfast Continental Market tour is an excellent initiative, which brings something different and diverse to Northern Ireland.

“It helps attract visitors to towns and city centres, and we are delighted by prospect of the shopping experience this offers our residents and also by the boost it will give to our local retail economy. In this celebratory year it’s great to be able to show off quality attractions such as the Market.

“We hope this will also attract people to Lisburn to see what great shops and services are available here all year round.”
