City tunes up for a musical day

Lisburn will be alive with the sound of music on Saturday 7th March from 12noon to late, when the inaugural Music Masquerade kicks off with array of exciting activities for all the family.

Throughout the day, Lisburn will have on street activities for shoppers and visitors to enjoy including; fire dancing, buskers, face painters and balloon modellers.

You will also have the chance to win a £300 voucher for Music Matters or Music Galleria by following the clues on the Music Masquerade Treasure Hunt.

Bound to enchant audiences of all ages, the event will showcase local musical talent from different music genres. The city will come alive with local singers performing different sets across various locations in the city centre; from acoustic, rock and roll, pop et with country duo the Dimes in the Three Crowns, The Bonnevilles in Alexander’s Bar and Lisburn Live Sessions in The Favourite Bar to name but a few.

Frozen’s Elsa & Anna, Ironman, Batman and Michaelangelo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle will also be making an appearance, ensuring young fans will be in their element.

Superhero fans will also be able to unmask their inner superhero and create their very own superhero mask at the free workshops taking place in Lisburn Square. Why not bring the younger children along and enjoy creating a Pop Art masterpiece of their favourite superhero or music idol and their art piece will be displayed for public viewing within the R-Space Pop Up Art Gallery.

With free music, creative workshops and fun activities, there will be something for everyone to enjoy in a fun day within Lisburn City.
