City gets itself 
ready for Twelfth celebrations

Magheragall District, which will be hosting the South Antrim Combined demonstration this year, has launched plans for the Twelfth celebrations.

All Lodges and bands will meet at Enterprise Crescent on the Ballinderry Road at 11am on the morning of July 12 and the parade will leave at 11.30am sharp.

The parade will be led by Magheragall District, followed by Ballinderry, Derriaghy, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Aghalee and Glenavy.

The platform proceedings will begin at 2pm and the return parade will start at 4.30pm. All members of the public are asked to be in Magheragall no later that 10.30am.

The parade will make its way from Enterprise Crescent, along the Ballinderry Road to the demonstration field off the Lissue Road.

Ahead of the Twelfth celebrations, the official opening of the arch will be held in Lisburn city centre on Monday (July 1).

Bands and Brethren to assemble at Lisburn Orange Hall, Railway Street at 7.15pm for parade to start at 7.30pm.

The route will be Railway Street, Castle Street, Seymour Street, Queens Road, Union Bridge, Gregg Street, Mercer Street, Sloan Street, Union Bridge, Bridge Street, Market Square, Market Street, Smithfield Street, Hillsborough Road, Warren Park, Warren Gardens, Longstone Street, Chapel Hill, Bow Street, Railway Street, Wallace Avenue.
