Charity presented with cheque

A cheque for £400 was recently presented to the charity after funds were raised at the 2011 Christmas Carol Service.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “NIKPA would like to offer sincere thanks to the Glenavy Accordion Band for allowing us to be their chosen charity at the 2011 Christmas Carol service which raised a magnificent £400 pounds.”

The Northern Ireland Kidney Patients Association (NIKPA) is a charitable, voluntary organisation dedicated to the support of Northern Ireland’s kidney patients, their families and carers. The Association has approximately 400 members and is run by kidney patients, their relatives and friends. The Association is a self-funding organisation reliant on fund raising initiatives and charitable donations to carry out its work. This includes providing advice and support to all those affected by kidney disease as well as organising events for patients and their families to enjoy together.
