Charity night to show off local talent

A ‘Lisburn’s Got Talent’ Charity Night is beiong hosted by the Mayor of Lisburn.

Councillor Andrew Ewing is hosting the event on Tuesday February 24 at 7pm in the Island Hall, Lagan Valley Island.

This fun-filled evening will not only highlight the range of talent in the Lisburn City Council area but will raise much-needed funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Mr Ewing, speaking about this fundraiser, said: “I am looking forward as the Mayor of Lisburn to hosting a Talent Show. Through my engagements, I have had the opportunity to meet many individuals and see their impressive singing or dancing talents first-hand.

“It is hoped that these individuals and others will sign up for this charity talent show and demonstrate to the judges and the audience how great they are at their chosen talent.”

The judges include Jeffrey Donaldson MP, musician Stephen McLoughlin, dance instructor Naomi Orr and performing arts expert Sarah Collyer.

“I am hoping that Lisburn’s talent and will embrace the opportunity to show the public how great they are at singing, dancing, playing an instrument, stand-up comedy or other talents they may have.

“As the event is for the Mayor’s Charity all entries will be co-ordinated through the Mayor’s Office. I look forward to seeing Lisburn’s talent shine through on the February 24,” Mr Ewing concluded.

If you wish to be in the audience to watch, the talent show tickets can be bought from the Box Office on 028 9250 9254 and cost £10 per adult and £5 per child under 16.
