CBM charity thanks local people
Local people have been thanked for helping CBM UK, the overseas disability charity’s match funding appeal, raise £1,900,000 through Standard Chartered’s Seeing is Believing Programme.
Eric Clarke from Moira Baptist is Community Fundraising Officer for CBM UK (NI). He said: “The money we have raised will be put to excellent use providing essential eye-care to over 200,000 children who are needlessly blind. This is a huge shared effort to help tackle avoidable blindness in the world’s poorest communities. We cannot thank our supporters and Standard Chartered Bank enough.”
