Cannabis plants seized

POLICE in Lisburn seized cannabis plants with an estimated value of £19,000 last Wednesday.

The plants were discovered by a member of the public at a vacant farm property on Moneybroom Road and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis was also discovered.

Police would encourage the owners of vacant properties of any description to check them regularly to lessen the chance of buildings being used for criminal enterprise.

Landlords and neighbours alike are also asked to report anything out of the ordinary or suspicious at any empty building. The number to call is 0845 600 8000 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
