100 gas cylinders were stolen from Jamison’s Gas Centre, Moira Road in the early hours of last Thursday morning. Owner Darwin Boal has appealed to the public to be on the look out for people offering cheap gas cylinders.

He said: “The CCTV footage showed a dark Transit van and three men who sheared off the padlock and entered the yard. They then broke into the lorry but failed to start it. The cylinders then were carefully and quietly removed and loaded on to their van. This operation took approximately 40 minutes. They then drove off and returned in about half an hour and re-loaded the remainder of the cylinders. I am appealing to anyone who is offered cheap gas cylinders in suspicious circumstances to contact the police. I have no doubt the gas is gone but if we could catch those who did it so as not other business has to experience what we are going through.” If you have any information contact police on 101 quoting Ref 189 2/2/17.
