Body found in Crumlin

THE death of a young man at a flat sent shockwaves throughout the village of Crumlin on Tuesday morning.

A cordon was put around the flat where the man died and there was a police presence in the main street until Wednesday afternoon. It is not known how the man was found or the circumstances into his death.

A 35-year-old man had been arrested following the discovery of the body but has since been released.

The police said that they were not treating the death as suspicious.

His name has not been released but the man is believed to have originally come from the Ballymacash area of Lisburn.

In a short statement a police spokesperson said: “Following the results of the Post Mortem police are not treating the death as suspicious. A 35-year-old male has been released unconditionally.”
