Boardmills WI meeting

Boardmills Ladies WI meeting took place this month with the members taking part. Vice President Lily Scott welcomed everyone and June Kirkpatrick gave an insight into the past 65 years of Boardmills WI.

She read the minutes from the inaugural meeting held on 5th January 1951.

Various members read out an interesting selection of minutes throughout the years.

The ladies all took part in a quiz to see who would represent Boardmills WI in the Area finals.

Rae Gould gave a humorous rendition of a “Hip Hop” song and composed an additional verse of the Country Womens song.

A spokesperson said: “It was a very entertaining evening enjoyed by all.”
