Blaris Players ready for show

Blaris Players, a brand new drama company, are getting geared up for their first production.

They are preparing to host a Variety Show on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th February in St Patricks Academy, Ballinderry Road, Lisburn.

Both evenings consist of a variety performance showcasing local performers followed by a comedy play written and directed by Michelle McAuley entitled Shady Pines.

The Players started life in Autumn 2015, set up by local lady Maura Lowry, along with her daughters Kathy Hanna and Michelle McAuley. They already have over 25 members and they’re still keen to unearth lots more local talent though. You could be involved in their future performances.

The club are only too pleased to welcome new people to drama, whether they want to act, direct, work in the production team or just come along to our social events as ‘Friends’ of the Club. Lack of experience will never be a bar to casting or getting involved backstage.

Or if you just want to watch, you can get a ticket for their first show, priced at £6 for pensioners and £8 for adults.

Tickets are available at St Patricks Pastoral Centre, Chapel Hill, Lisburn and Atlas Centre, Batchelors Walk, Lisburn. They also available on both evenings at the door. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
