The company, which is the biggest card retailer in the UK, went into administration last week.
Adminstrators Zolfo Cooper said that it has “regrettably” decided to close about 350 stores of its total of 784 across the UK.
Among the closures are all stores branded as Birthdays as well as about 200 Clinton Cards shops.
It is not clear what will happen to the staff nor if any Clintons outlets in Northern Ireland will affected by the closures.
