ARCS available for community groups

Local groups are being invited to submit applications for funding from the Assets Recovery Community Scheme, ARCS

The Department of Justice in partnership with Policing Community Safety Partnerships (PCSP) launched the 2016/17 ARCS. This is the sixth occasion that this scheme has operated.

The purpose of the grant scheme is to provide start-up funding to projects that will be ongoing or one-off funding to time-limited projects.

Councillor Scott Carson Chairman of Lisburn and Castlereagh PCSP said: “I would encourage community groups across Lisburn and Castlereagh to consider applying for this funding.

“In recent years, local community groups have successfully applied for this funding and the scheme has provided some really good tangible projects that have made a difference to local communities. Your applications should be submitted via the PCSP.”

The projects must help to build a fair, just and safer community in Northern Ireland and designed to prevent crime or reduce the fear of crime.

Applications are invited from local community groups to be submitted through and supported by Lisburn and Castlereagh PCSP.

Applicants are encouraged to identify projects which offer good practical solutions to local problems.

It is important that the proposals are seen to offer a real and tangible benefit to those communities affected by crime. This scheme is aimed at projects seeking funding during the 2016/17 financial year.

If you wish to discuss this scheme or obtain an application form, please contact Lisburn and Castlereagh PCSP on telephone 028 9250 9279/284 or email [email protected].

All applications must be received no later than the January 29 2016.
