Appeal for help in locating dad

An anxious bride-to-be from Bradford in England is hoping Banbridge Leader readers can make her Big Day complete by helping her trace her father.

Donna Louise Proctor (38) has spent the last seven years trying to find her daddy John Wallace, Proctor who was originally from the town, but with little success.

To have her father walk her up the aisle would be like a dream come true for Donna who is due to wed sometime next summer.

The mother-of-four will marry Patrick Reardon in 2014, she last heard of her father 11 years ago.

Then she believed that he was living in Banbridge possibly in the Limewood Park area along with his wife Frances. His parents, Donna’s grandparents, are also believed to be from the town as well.

Donna’s father had once attempted to find Donna, his only child some years ago. At that stage he got help from the local police to do so.

John had heard of a house fire tragedy in the Bradford area where a mother-of-four lost her life and he feared that it was her.

He made contact much to Donna’s delight but since the pair have lost contact. Donna moved home since then and has lost a phone along with her father’s contact details.

Donna from Merron Terrace in Bradford made a number of failed attempts to try and find her father whose birthday she knows to be July 4 and who is believed to be 55.

She went onto Facebook and logged onto the internet where she even attempted to join a people finding agency that may have details of her father.

“I am on benefits and when the people finding agency that I joined on the internet asked me for £60 for information on my father I just had to forget it.

“I desperately want to find him but simply do not have that sort of money to hand out.

“If I had a passport I would go over to Northern Ireland to find him myself that is how desperate I am. I am just at a loss and don’t know where to turn to anymore. My father is a lovely man and it would really mean the world to me to have him at my wedding. I really would love to see him again.

“I know that he was in hospital at one stage and that is the last time I have heard about him. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate any news about him.”

If anyone believes they know of John’s whereabouts and can help, you are asked to give her a ring on 01274-921966 or 0745-3070262. You can also contact her via email on [email protected]
