Temple art group holdsfirst annual art exhibition

TEMPLE Art Group is holding their first annual exhibition and sale of fine art and photography in June 2012.

This enthusiastic group consists of artists who are members of the local community in and around Temple.

Following last year’s success at the Saintfield Show art competition, where 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were won by members of the group; it was decided to run this year’s exhibition to coincide with this year’s Saintfield Show, which is on June 16.

The venue for the exhibition is The Studio, Temple Shopping Centre, 88 Carryduff Road, Temple, County Down. This is a first floor studio above McBride’s Fashions.

Opening night will be on Thursday, June 7, from 6.30 pm – 9.30pm. Members of the public are invited to attend. Entrance is free and refreshments will be provided. The exhibition will run until Monday, June 18. Opening Hours are from 5.00pm – 7.30pm weekdays (Monday-Friday) and 10.00am-5.00pm on Saturdays.

As well as exhibiting their own work, the group would like to extend an open invitation to any interested non-member artists in the surrounding areas to submit works for the exhibition. Any interested parties should bring their work to the Studio on Wednesday, May 16 between 7.00pm-8.00pm for consideration.
