Wetherspoon’s opening three NI pubs on April 30 - customers to be served in beer gardens - ‘We are looking forward to welcoming back customers and staff after a long time away’

It has been revealed that the Bridge House (Belfast), The Central Bar (Carrickfergus) and The Spirit Merchant (Newtownards) will serve customers in their beer gardens.

A statement from the company adds that Wetherspoon’s other pub, The Tuesday Bell (Lisburn) is set to reopen when indoor hospitality restrictions are lifted.

It adds that a marquee has been erected in the car park of The Spirit Merchant to compliment its beer garden.

And they point out that the pubs will not be operating a booking system.

However customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoon app, but staff can take orders and payment at the table from customers who don’t have the app.

AND ‘Test, Trace, Protect, will be in operation’.

The statement adds that customers will be able to enter the pubs to gain access to the gardens and also to use the toilets.

Wetherspoon area manager, Darren Niven said: “ We are looking forward to welcoming back customers and staff after a long time away.”
