Alderman Michael Henderson MBE Leisure & Community Development Chairman, said: “We remain committed to growing our virtual museum offering. Our staff are delighted these talks were enjoyed by audiences from countries across the globe during the pandemic. We are glad everyone has stayed connected with our annual talks programme remotely during such a challenging time; when access to things we love and enjoyed has been restricted.

“We are overwhelmed by the support we have received and how popular the talks have been.

“Keen historians watched our six talk series for a combined 671 hours between November and January.

“The final talk in the series was very relevant to the challenges we face today. Patricia Marsh explored ‘The Spanish Flu’ and incorporated our local contemporary project ‘COVID-19 and Me’.
