The second most congested road in the UK is in Northern Ireland.

Predictably, London is the most congested city in the UK but the second most congested road is the A1 southbound from College Gardens in Belfast to Wallace Park in Lisburn.

The study was carried out by Inrix, a road traffic information company.

The UK is the third most congested country in Europe according to the study and drivers, on average, spend 32 hours per year sitting in traffic jams.
