Her business - she is self employed - specialises in treatments for eye lashes and nails as well as beauty waxing.

“They just can’t wait to get in and get some normality back. When they get their nails done they feel like a woman again.

“The wee small things help build women’s self confidence.”If you are out somewhere and you see a girl’s nails done, you think - she takes care of herself. I think it just really helps women feel a wee bit more confidence and together.”

Her business has been closed since December 20. “This Friday will be the first day I have been back in about four months.”

She opened her business in October 2019 after her partner suggested she go self employed.

“Afterwards we had just come back from holiday and a couple of days later Coronvirus was all over the newspapers. We thought it would all blow over but little did we know we would close our doors on March 21 for a couple of months.”

She is very grateful that government grants have helped keep her head above water for the past year.

:: From Friday the following can resume in NI; driving lessons and tests; close-contact services; outdoor visitor attractions; equine assisted therapy and learning; squad training in outdoor sport organised by a club; competitive outdoor sport organised by a club and static band practice/rehearsals outdoors.
