Northern Ireland performers star in International Live Shakespeare

Eleanor Shannon and Gareth Turkington, two Northern Ireland raised performers will be in Cymbeline with The Show Must Go Online at 7pm this Wednesday (November 4).

Eleanor playing in the Ensemble, is a classically trained Northern Irish actor, singer and Voice Over artist from Hillsborough, County Down. 
She is represented by AK Agents London and she trained at Drama Studio London and National Youth Theatre. Since graduating in 2019 she has worked across the creative industry on Stage, in Musical Cabarets, Pantomimes, as a Voice Actor, in a Music Video, in Short Films 
and over lockdown she has spent a lot of time working in the newest creative medium ... Online Productions!
Credits include Rosalind ‘As you Like It’ and Juliet ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with Shakescenery, Cady in Much Ado About Mean Girls with The Show Must Go Online, Narrator for a yet to be released Audible Audiobook, Cassie ‘Well Groomed’ West Avenue Theatre Company, Jaqueline Tonker 
Palmerston ‘Rhetoric’ at the Bread and Roses Theatre London and has worked with After Hours West End. She went to Methodist College Belfast and learnt the joy of Shakespeare and acting at Centre Stage Drama and with Youth Lyric.
Gareth, playing as one of the Swings, is a Belfast actor who trained at the University of Birmingham and Richmond Drama School. 
Recent credits include The Silhouette in the Smoke (Immer City Theatre Company), Moth Hunting (Cockpit Theatre and Budding Rose Production) and The Disappearance of Dorothy Lawrence (Vital Xposure).
Before quarantine he was shooting in Hungary for six weeks for an upcoming Netflix show.
With The Show Must Go Online, he has played Angelo in Measure for Measure and Albany in King Lear
The Show Must Go Online, created by actor/writer/director Rob Myles and producing partner Sarah Peachey, brings together a global cast to perform Shakespeare’s plays live and online every week in the order they were believed to have been written, for free. 
Each show is cast, produced and rehearsed in under a week. Since launching, over 400 actors and creatives have volunteered their time to bring 38 shows to life. All shows are performed on Zoom and streamed live to audiences around the world on YouTube, who participate in a live chat throughout the show, playing games, exchanging insights and reactions, and engaging in a wonderful shared experience. 
Many audience members say they’ve found a new community with The Show Must Go Online during quarantine. 
Cymbeline, featuring Gareth and Eleanor promises to continue The Show Must Go Online’s innovation and creativity in the exciting new field of live streamed theatre.
