Chronicles of Long Kesh returns to the Grand Opera House

FOLLOWING a sell out run in 2011, Chronicles of Long Kesh will return to the Grand Opera House from Monday 16 until Saturday April 21.

Written by Martin Lynch, Chronicles of Long Kesh is the hilarious, painful and shocking story of Northern Ireland’s infamous prison, Long Kesh, told through the eyes of prison officers, Republicans and Loyalists, a rich assortment of patriots, chancers, leaders, wives, escapers and hypochondriacs! A huge crowd-pleaser, the play is full of 1960s Motown songs and wild, irreverent humour.

First produced in 2009 under the direction of Lisa May and Martin Lynch with an outstanding six member cast, Chronicles of Long Kesh received its world premiere in January 2009 at the Belfast Waterfront Hall Studio Theatre.
