Summer jazz at Castle Ward

Enjoy relaxing Sunday afternoons at Castle Ward throughout July and August as the popular summer jazz series returns to the National Trust property, located between Downpatrick and Strangford.

Recline and allow your ears to enjoy the music from 3pm to 5.30pm, provided by the Martello Jazz Band every Sunday in July, The Bourbon Swing Jazz Band on 3, 10, 17 and 24 August, and the Panama Jazz Band on Sunday 31 August. Bring a picnic and soak up the atmosphere of the day while gazing upon the stunning panoramic views of Castle Ward and Strangford Lough, provided by the exquisite location.

Before the jazz you can try out the exciting trails, easily accessible for all. The more adventurous can take their bike around the stunning Boundary Trail, or explore the ruins of Audley’s Castle when embarking upon the Castle Trail.
