Local musical talent takes to the stage

Local musical theatre talent are preparing to present a spectacular evening of musical theatre hits at Belvoir Players Studio, Friday July 18.

With everything from classics by Rodgers and Hammerstein, to modern hits by Jason Robert Brown, this musical evening features something for everyone.

Featuring a host of local talent, including Ward & Boyd, Lisburn’s own Colin Boyd, soprano Elizabeth Ross, James Huish, Samuel Moore, Alice Johnston, Kirsten Magee and sisters Jolene and Philippa O’Hara, this concert is set to bring the glamour and glitz of the West-End to Belfast.

James Huish, who runs the Belfast School of Performing Arts in Lisburn, and next month appears with Musical Theatre legend Simon Bowman in a similar concert in The Mac, commented: “We have been touring these shows across the country and have had great response from audiences, and with a host of spectacular talent lined up, hope to raise some money for the Belfast Operatic Company and provide a good evenings entertainment - we have some of Northern Ireland’s finest musical talent taking part and audiences can expect to be wowed by their voices.”
