Lisburn District host ‘Dander with the Banners’ parade

THE Lisburn District Orange Lodge LOL No 6 will be having a “Dander with the Banners” parade around Lisburn City Centre on Friday June 7, starting at 7.30pm from Lisburn Orange Hall.

The route will be Railway Street, Market Square, Smithfield, Bow Street, Antrim Street, Bachelors Walk and back to the Orange Hall.

Lambeg drums, bands and banners of the Lodges in the Lisburn District will feature in the parade and on its completion a BBQ will be held in the grounds of the Orange Hall to which all are welcome.

The parade is in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and is also a fundraising event for the Lisburn District Orange Lodge Widows Fund.

The event is being sponsored by the Lisburn City Council Cultural Department and his the Mayor of Lisburn Alderman William Leathem will attend at the start of the proceedings.
