The choir will be joining Peter on stage next weekend as part of his popular ‘Music Box’ Christmas spectacular at the Waterfront Hall.

“This is the fifth year of the Music Box,” explained Peter. “For two years we were at the Folk and Transport Museum and then at Theatre at the Mill. Due to the success of the show we had to move it and this year we are at the Waterfront.”

The Friends’ School choir will be performing three pieces - one on their own, one with a guest soloist from the West End and one wit another guest choir. They will also be taking part in the candlelight procession.

“We originally heard Friends’ at an awards ceremony and thought they were terrific so we got them on board,” continued Peter.

“They have already gone through rehearsals and will be staged this week. I think they are really excited about it. It is such a lovely Christmas show and it puts everyone in the Christmas spirit.”

Also taking to the stage with Music Box will be local chorister Patrick Rogan, who will perform with eleven other choir boys during the show.

The local singers will join a cast of over 100 for the show, which will be staged at the Waterfront Hall next Friday and Saturday.

Joining and adult cast, musicians, school choirs, ballet dancers and choir boys, will be acclaimed West End performers, Jeff Anderson and Linda John-Pierre.

The show promises to include something for everyone and will kick off the Christmas week in style.

“When people go to see the show they love it,” added Peter. “It has a real feel good factor and everyone leaves with a smile on their face.”
