The show will include narration by BBC Broadcaster and Jazz personality Linley Hamilton. The narration sets the scene by giving accounts of Miles' life and work in the months leading up to, and the huge success following, this groundbreaking recording.

After joining the Irish Youth Jazz Orchestra in 1989, Linley cemented his contacts with the Dublin scene and a firm alliance with great friend Dermod Harland. He joined the Dermod Harland Quintet and as well as playing all the Irish jazz festivals, they did a spot on Radio 2's Jazz Parade. At the same time Linley did some major broadcast work with the Dave Early Late Shift and a famous gig in the Thre'penny Bit with Jean Toussaint.

This certainly established him in the Irish jazz scene, but it was at this time that he built alliances in the rock scene and began some serious touring.

Around 2000 Linley started working with Paul Brady, and as well as playing a solo on the title track of the album 'Oh What a World', Linley played a series of concerts in Ireland with Paul.

Linley was fortunate to be asked to record with Juliet Turner on her new album this year on the track ''Sugartown' and also with Eleanor McEvoy on her 'Early Hours' album on which he played on three tracks.

Now Linley has a new band which he is very proud of, which features some of his best mates. John Wilson on drums (formerly with Rory Gallagher and Taste), Nicky Scott on bass (formerly with Van, Brian Kennedy, Juliet Turner, etc) and Joel McCullough on guitar - the absolute find of the century.

As well as enjoying a run of his new radio show, Jazz Notes, on BBC Radio Ulster, Linley often plays with his quartet in Madisons in Belfast on a Monday night.

His recording schedule continues, recording recently with Spree, Bellcrash, Foy Vance and Kyle, and more recently Beoga, Duke Special and Siobhan Skates.
