sparkle at the Lyric

In 2016 Ireland’s favourite all-lady, musical comedy trio, The Nualas, are celebrating their 21st birthday and they will be bringing their ‘Glitterbomb’ tour to the Lyric Theatre in Belfast on February 28.

Since their first outing in 1995, their unique brand of intricately-arranged, self-penned songs and provocative perspective on everything from spanx to hors d’oeuvres to global apocalypse has wowed audiences from Singapore to Moate.

In those 21 years they’ve played extended seasons in London, Dublin and New York, written and recorded several series for BBC Radio 4, appeared at the Royal Albert Hall, released a video (yes, ‘video’) with Sony, split up and got back together again, clocked up innumerable TV appearances, were nominated by The Scotsman as one of the top 5 comedy shows at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and met Chris de Burgh in the flesh.

To celebrate their 21st year in the biz, The Nualas are hitting the road nationwide with The Glitterbomb Tour, kicking off on Friday February 5th in The Theatre Royal, Waterford. Featuring ancient favourites, spanking new classics, red hot new chat and blistering new shoes, the girls promise to leave you helpless with laughter, delirious with pleasure, and a little disorientated if you can’t remember which door you came in.

Tickets are available from the Lyric Theatre Box Office on 028 9038 1081.
