The Songbird Café returns on Friday (May 20) with a Charity Concert at the Ballinderry Inn Motel, featuring Rowel Friers, grandson of cartoonist and painter, the late Rowel Friers MBE.

Rowel has been credited with “exceptional” talent on the piano.

The concert is in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation, which seeks to grant wishes to sick children.

Said Paul Murphy, of show sponsors AA Music: “It is good to be able to help this charity which is doing so much good work.

“Other talking points are the songbirds who will be performing songs from Disney and Snow Patrol.

“Acoustic duo Anna and Alex Murphy will present a tribute to Simon and Garfunkel .

“A raffle and auction will be held, including items from a bass guitar to classical music CDs.”

To donate raffle items contact Paul at AA music on 028 9261 0634.

There will be a light supper with tea and coffee.

Tickets (£10) available at the door or from AA Music.
