New acts announced at Sunflowerfest

Sunflowerfest has just annnounced over 150 acts across six stages with live music, DJs, comedy, poetry, and theatre.

The highly-anticipated music and arts festival runs from 5th-7th August on Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough, less than 20 minutes from Belfast.

Confirmed acts include the likes of The Strypes, Le Galaxie, King Kong Company, and Emerald Armada.

Put the newly added electronic stage ‘ElectroMoot’ into the mix and 2016 promises to deliver the best Sunflowerfest experience yet.

Alongside the announced acts there will be live art & sculpture, a range of talks and workshops, media installations lots of family activities, silent disco, the ‘Bliss’ well-being area, and to coincide with NI Year of Food & Drink, local chefs will be hosting cooking demos and workshops throughout the weekend.

The list will continue to grow throughout the coming months proving that Northern Ireland’s favourite weekend festival is going strong in its seventh year.

Event organiser Vanessa Magowan said: “With more guests visiting Tubby’s Farm each summer to experience all that Sunflowerfest has to offer, we strive to make each year different and more memorable than previous years.

“This year, Sunflowerfest is embracing the NI Year of Food and Drink and celebrating the August theme Love NI meat with local chefs, bakers and producers tempting tastebuds with cooking demonstrations, BBQs and speciality tastings in the festival’s Village Tent.”

Sunflowerfest also links up with a new charity partner this year.
