There are only a few days to go until the start of the Island Arts Centre’s Children’s Summer Arts Festival .

Joining the Island Team are Jessica, Grace, Eloise and Katie-Jean who showed everyone how to playwith style as the staff set up the Children’s Arts Festival exhibition, The Urban Playground.

Festival highlights include Five day arts weeks led by Arts Ekta; fun interactive Children’s Exhibition, Animation Workshops led by Left-Hand Cinema, Radio Production workshops with Cool FM’s Mairead Campbell in partnership with Cinemagic, Festival Bites, community outreach and much more.

The first of the three week long Arts Camps – Animate Your City - starts next Monday 28 July and with a few places left there’s still time to book.

The Arts Camps, aimed at 4-16 year olds, offer an amazing opportunity to learn some ultra-cool art skills, develop your creativity, make new friends and have fun! And with three Arts Camps weeks to choose from there’s something for everyone. From cartoon creation, graffiti writing, printmaking, T–shirt design, painting, stencilling, poster design, robot making and hip hop dance – it really is an Urban Playground of summer fun.

To book your place or for more information on the Children’s Arts Festival call 028 92 509509, email arts.info@island.lisburn.gov.uk or visit islandArtsCentre.com for more information.
