Game of Thrones actor to star in '˜Joseph'

Lisnagarvey Youth Society are busy rehearsing for their upcoming production of '˜Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', which will be staged in the Island Hall next month.

The company are thrilled that Game of Thrones alum, Michael Nevin, will be stepping into the title role.

Hot on the heels of his appearance in the sixth season of the hit HBO television show, Michael will be making his debut performance with the Lisburn musical society when he steps into the colourful coat on September 1.

Choosing the cast for the production was a difficult task for the production team but they were all in agreement that Michael, a student of the Belfast School of Performing Arts, was the best person for the job.

Directing the show are Simon Pyper and Andrew Devonshire, along with musical Director Geoffrey Cherry and Choreographers Rea Campbell and Michelle Chambers.

Choreographers Rea and Michelle have also been hard at work putting together the dance numbers for the show. “The rehearsal process so far has been a lot of fun and very high energy. It is fantastic to work with such young and dedicated performers who will undoubtedly wow audiences in September with their talent and stage presence.”

The show will run at the Island Hall from September 1 - 3 and tickets, priced £10, are on sale now from the Box Office on 02892 509254 or online at www.laganvalleyisland.co.uk.
