FOLLOWING their sell-out impending gig at Croke Park, Take That fever will prolong its grip over Northern Irish fans, with the arrival of Never Forget, the hit musical with the songs of Take That, playing at the Grand Opera House from Tuesday June 30 until Saturday July 4.
Never Forget tells the story of five young men who enter a local talent competition, each looking for a way out and a step up. Along the way they
discover fame comes at a price but that friendships last forever.

Packed with the classic Take That songs, including the smash hits A Million Love Songs, Could It Be Magic, It Only Takes A Minute, Do What You Like, Love Ain't Here Anymore, Relight My Fire, Pray, Back For Good, Babe and, of course, Never Forget.

Philip Olivier of Brookside and Channel 4's The Games fame, as well as recent winner of Celebrity Come Dine with Me stars as 'Dirty Harry', one of the five wannabes, depicted as a dim yet endearing stripper looking to recover his self respect.

"It's a great fun show," said Philip when he spoke to the Ulster Star this week. "Its a real comedy and there are laughs every two seconds.

"It's not the story of Take That, its about five guys who come together to form a Take That tribute band. In the finale we are a band and perform all the songs we've done throughout the show and we get everyone up dancing and singing along."

Philip has been touring with the show for the last three months and is thoroughly enjoying the experience. But he admits he was reluctant to perform in a musical at the start.

"I have done theatre before but I've never done a musical. My agent was so forceful that I should do it and I was adamant I didn't want to do it but I am so glad I listened to her.

"I admit I struggled at first but now I am revelling in it and I would definitely do a musical again.

"I've already signed up for panto. I might even be looking for an album deal next," he jokes.

"For anyone who is a fan of Take That it will be a great night out but be prepared to get up and do some dancing," he warned.

Tickets, priced from £13, are on sale now from the Grand Opera House Box Office on 9024 1919.
