JAMES Morrison thrilled his fans at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast last weekend when he visited the city for the first time.

James Morrison.
Following on from the success of his second album Songs for You, Truth
s for Me and the huge hit Broken Strings, the local crowd were eager to see the Brit Award winner live last Friday night.
The soulful singer/songwriter didn't disappoint the sold out crowd as he made his way through tracks from his latest album, as well as his number one debut album Undiscovered, which produced an incredible five singles.
With the simple backdrop of a black curtain displaying his name, which was later removed to supply lighting for the show, James didn't need any flash pyrotechnics or stunts to produce a superb show; instead he allowed his smooth vocals to do the talking.
Performing hits such as You Give Me Something, Undiscovered and his latest hit Please Don't Stop the Rain, James' soul-infused pop had the audience swaying along before he belted out the smash hit Broken Strings, with his backing singer replacing Nelly Furtado on vocals for the evening, although the Belfast crowd did the job as they joined in.
The Rugby-born singer spoke openly with fans during the night and one of the highlights came when he performed Once When I was Little, a track from his latest album which looks back at how he viewed the world a boy. Suiting his voice perfectly, the truth and emotion of the song could be felt by the audience, who enjoyed every second.
James got the crowd on their feet as he sped things up when he belted out Stevie Wonder's Uptight (Everything's Alright) and he left the crowd roaring their approval as he finished with his hit Wonderful World.
The Belfast crowd were delighted to see James visit the city for the first time, and they will be hoping it is not the last as he proved why he is regarded as one of the finest singer/songwriter's in the country right now.
