Stephen named as new Whites’ number two

STEPHEN Robinson is the new number two at Lisburn Distillery.

Born in Lisburn, Stephen signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 1994 before moving to Bournemouth where he scored 52 goals in 241 games.

After two seasons with Preston North End he moved to Luton Town in 2002 where he won the League One Championship in 2005.

Stephen played seven times for Northern Ireland, his last cap in 2007.

He is currently a County Performance Coach (Co. Antrim) and Assistant Manager of the Under-19 Northern Ireland squad.

“I am delighted Stephen has joined us,” said Whites manager John Cunningham.

“Stephen played 17 years in England and he has a lot to offer both on and off the field.

“Between Stephen, Iam McFaul and myself hopefully we can continue to improve the team.”
