Thirty entries for mixed pairs

THERE were thirty entries for the Lisburn Zone mixed pairs, which were played last week.

At Derriaghy Parish Hall, Amanda Carser and Nathan Haire, Hillsborough Social, beat Tom Haire, Hillsborough Social and Teresa Cushnahan, Rock in one semi-final while John Law/Kathleen McCullough, St Colman’s Dunmurry won against Sonya and Frank Cunningham, Rock, in the other semi-final. Carser/Haire won the group final at the last end.

At Annahilt Parish, Laura Scales/Andy Murdock, Seymour Hill, lost to Beth Wilson, Soldierstown/Nick Haire, Hillsborough Social and in the other half Jean and Wesley Cairns, Annahilt Parish beat Jean and Jim Parkinson, Lambeg Parish at the last end. Wilson/Haire won the group final.

The mixed triples will be played on Thursday at Eglantine Parish and Friday at Hillsborough Presbyterian.

The mixed fours, pairs and singles will be played during January and entries for these should be sent as soon as possible to Tom Haire 07759173938.
