St Mark’s edge home in Section B

ST Mark’s edged home by three shots against Rock and they took five points in Section B of the Ulster Star Indoor Bowling League.

At the fourth P. Connelly was 4-1 ahead, but David Moore lifted a five and was 7-5 up at seven ends. Rock added a single but St Mark’s finished with a single to win by two shots.

Michael Reid started with a double but Ivan Robinson lifted two threes to lead 11-2 at the sixth. Rock pulled back a double and a single but St Mark’s finished with another three to win by nine shots.

Four at the third gave Frank Cunningham a 5-1 lead and after Karen Ellison lifted a double Rock lifted another four at the fifth and went on to win by seven shots.

At the fourth B. McKeown was 4-2 ahead and after Viv Wigton lifted three singles St Mark’s were 5-4 up at the seventh. Rock added a three and a last end single still left St Mark’s a shot down.
