Garvey thirds stay top

LISNAGARVEY LADIES THIRDS 5 LARNE SECONDS 1

GARVEY Ladies remain top of the league at the half way point of the season after they defeated Larne Seconds 5-1 at Larne High School on Saturday.

Garvey dominated the match with Gemma Walker scoring a hat trick and Fiona Hamilton scoring 2 goals after some great build up sequences from the midfield.

Travelling with only 11 players, after a late cry off, manager Jennifer Howard, stepped up to provide additional cover, coming off the bench in the last quarter of the match to link up with daughter Laura Howard to further test the Larne defences.

A super finish to the match, Garvey ended on the attack and Fiona Hamilton was denied a hat trick herself as the final whistle blew just before her shot crossed the line.
