Success for Mayor’s charity day

GOOD weather helped to make the Mayor’s Charity Golf Day a great success at Lisburn last Thursday. Twenty two teams took part in the event with the proceeds going to Stepping Stones. The best two scores counted at each hole with all four scores counting at the 9th and 18th. Team prizes and individual prizes were awarded. Other prizes were raffled and auctioned.

ROCKMOUNT Ladies Golf Club hosted their first ever bridge drive, afternoon tea and fashion show. The day was inspired and organised by Honorary Secretary, Margaret Harrison. The afternoon started with the bridge drive; there were some very serious players and some ladies playing for fun. Thank you to Mr Ron Hall who organised the Bridge on the day.

GARY McCarter (10) had his best ever round of golf at Lisburn last week to lead the qualifiers in the Mills CNC sponsored Hilden Cup. After heavy rain during the week the course was damp in some areas necessitating ‘lift, clean and place through the green’.
