Valley fade as Finaghy and Malone earn points

Lagan Valley were well in the IBA Junior Cup first round tie at home to Limavady B around the halfway mark, but faded to lose 82-64

At the tenth, Billy Hobson was 10-4 ahead and 17-7 at 15 ends. He won by six shots.

Ahead 10-9 at the tenth but 11-16 down at 15 ends, Jeff Fawcus came back but dropped five at the last to lose by three.

At the tenth, Jim Kinkead was 10-9 ahead and 16-13 at 15 ends but Valley did not score again, losing by four.

Down 5-18 at the tenth and 6-23 at 15 ends, Jim Parkinson lost by 17 shots.

Point for Finaghy

Finaghy travelled to Holywood in NIBA Division Four and could only manage a point, going down 87-65.

Randal Megrath bagged the point after edging home by a shot but Greg Peacock just lost out as he sought another point.

Malone get home points

Malone got 1.5 points when losing 80-72 in a closely fought game against Dunbarton in Private Greens Div Four.

Twrry Monro won 25-18 and Frazer Thompson shared the spoils 20-20.

David Nelson lost 19-24 and Eric Mairs lost 8-18.
