Malone earned a point when they shared the spoils away to Ewarts D in Private Greens Division 4, though they did lose by 31 shots.

Eric Mairs grabbed half-a-point in a 15-15 draw and there was a surprise for all when David Nelson tied 20-20.

Frazer Thompson lost by eight shots and Terry Monro went down heavily.

Sally and Terry are tops

The winners at the Seymour Street Methodist Indoor Bowling Club Summer Tournament on Monday night were Sally Bradshaw and Terry Kingham.

The bowling continues each Monday night from 7.30 pm and all will be made very welcome.

The annual Summer fun bowls at Soldierstown finished on Saturday night.

The winners were Joan Donaldson and Jack Taylor.

The organisers would like to thank all those who supported them over the weeks of the event.

Lisnagarvey and Hilden will have been playing catch up during the past week with outstanding matches against Donaghadee and Ballymena B to be played.
