Rockmount set to host charity golf classic event

Carryduff based charity, HOPE03 (Help Overcome Poverty Everywhere) are holding a Golf Classic sponsored by Lagan Operations & Maintenance at Rockmount Golf Club on Friday 3rd June.

HOPE03 are raising funds to support the NI Hospice ‘Fit-Out’ Appeal.

Sean Loughlin, Director of Lagan Operations & Maintenance commented: “Lagan Operations & Maintenance are delighted to sponsor the HOPE03 charity Golf Day at Rockmount Golf Club to raise much needed funds for equipment at the fantastic new NI Hopsice, Somerton Road in Belfast.”

The Golf Classic will be a two ball format and there are superb prizes up for grabs, including £2,000 cash prize for every golfer who manages to score a Hole-in-One at the 9th Hole.

Deirdre Melly, Community Fundraiser for the NI Hospice said “On behalf of NI Hospice, I would like to say a huge thank you to HOPE03 for choosing to support our fit out appeal.

The newly completed Hospice in Belfast opening at the end of May, will be a modern centre of excellence for palliative care in Northern Ireland.

“It will have 18 single ensuite rooms with modern facilities; comfort and private space for families and loved ones.

“HOPE03 have committed to raising money this year to help fit-out one of these bedrooms with vital equipment including Profiling Bed, Air Mattress, Pillows, Riser recliner chair, High back chair, Bed table and Clock (dementia friendly).”
