A brilliant back nine secured the win for Michael Pollins (10) at Lambeg Golf Club on Saturday.

His closing nine holes included which included seven consecutive pars and a birdie and was enough to earn victory in the stableford competition sponsored by Lisburn Fuels.

With two double bogeys in his front nine, Michael was not confident of a winning score even though he had a birdie at the seventh but it was his performance in the back nine that accumulated the points, reaching the winning total of 44 points by the close.
