St Joseph’s added a 1-13 to 0-7 victory over Moneyglass to their recent storming success over Sarsfields last weekend.

Both sides were desperate for the points as Moneyglass were fighting to keep their place in the top three while their hosts were trying to get out of the bottom three.

The hill side settled first and were soon on the scoreboard with a point from Conor Hamill. Owen Gallagher added another followed by a Mark Cush goal.

It took the Toome side 12 minutes before they opened their account with a point. The home side lost their midfielder Michael Johnston through a black card, Peter McClenaghan replaced him.

The visitors added a pointed free but Luke Devereux pointed a long distance free of his own before Conor Hamill once again split the posts. Moneyglass had the final point of the half to leave the score 1.04 v 0.03

Points from Owen Gallagher and a beauty from Niall McCann from almost the end line made a good second half start for the hosts but Moneyglass came back with two points.

County player Owen Gallagher steadied the ship with two excellent points which were again matched by Moneyglass but Niall McCann, Conor Hamill and Patrick Gallagher added points for the hosts before excellent free taker Luke Devereux slotted in another two.
